Honoring Motherhood & Maternal Health

This Mother's Day, we celebrate the compassion, strength, and love of Wyoming mothers. Our mothers embody the spirit of Wyoming – resilient, resourceful, and unwavering in their commitment to their families.

In our vast and sparsely populated state, accessing quality maternal healthcare can be a daunting task. Rural communities often have limited healthcare resources, including a shortage of healthcare providers and facilities. Many women must navigate barriers such as geographic isolation and limited access to prenatal care.

At Sublette County Health, we are committed to bridging the gap in maternal healthcare services for our rural communities. This year we launched a Women’s Health program and hired Doug George, MD, as our first Sublette County gynecologist. We also continue our important relationship with Gros Ventre Women’s Health from Jackson, with Dr. Lafaro and Dr. Roberts providing vital OB care as visiting providers. This Mother's Day,  join us in advocating for better maternal health outcomes and uplifting all mothers. Happy Mother's Day to all the incredible mothers of Wyoming – your strength, love, and dedication inspire us all.
