  • The Sublette County Hospital District is currently seeking an Emergency Room Provider (either MD or DO) for the Pinedale medical clinic Emergency Room. The emergency department offers 24/7 emergency services. This position would work eight 24-hour shifts per month. The best candidate for this position should have a strong interest in emergency medicine. This is truly a rural clinic as the nearest hospital is approximately 78 miles away. No OB required.

    We offer excellent benefits including: 1 wk CME up to $3000, paid malpractice, licensing fees reimbursement, sign-on bonus, moving expenses, health, life, and long-term disability insurances, a health savings account, and a generous matching retirement program through the Wyoming Retirement System.   • The Sublette County Hospital District is currently seeking a full-time board-certified Family Practice Physician for the Pinedale and Marbleton, Wyoming medical clinics. The clinic is open Monday - Friday, 8-5 and has an attached emergency department offering 24 hour a day emergency services. The best candidate for this position must be willing to work in a clinic setting, seeing an average of 13 - 15 patients per day. This is truly a rural clinic as the nearest hospital is approximately 78 miles away.

    The position offered would include 5 days per week in the clinic.   • Job Title: Ultrasound/Echo Technologist, PRN

    Summary Description:

    Ultrasound/Echo Technologists are responsible for performing Ultrasound/Echo procedures and producing diagnostic quality images at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Sonographers will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in applying prescribed sound waves for ultrasonic diagnosis and assumes responsibility for designated area or procedures as required or limited by licensure.

    Supervision Received: Directly supervised by the Director of Radiology.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Perform diagnostic sonographic images in the specialty areas of OB/GYN, abdomen, abdominal Doppler, color-flow imaging, small parts and vascular as requested by providers to aid in the diagnosis of patient conditions in accordance with departmental protocols.

    2. Perform diagnostic sonographic images in the specialty area of Cardiac Echo imaging and non-invasive diagnostic cardiology images as requested by providers to aid in the diagnosis of patient conditions in accordance with departmental protocols.

    3. Optimize computer images to enhance diagnostic information for Radiologist/Cardiologist interpretation.

    4. Complete a medically acceptable exam in a minimum amount of time while producing the maximum amount of information.

    5. Operate appropriate Ultrasound equipment safely and proficiently.

    6. Utilize appropriate technical factors to obtain quality images.

    7. Display capability to modify positioning and technique in order to provide the radiologist/provider with special images per their request.

    8. Properly identify patients and exam being performed.

    9. Effectively communicate preparation instructions to a variety of audiences (patients, providers and other medical staff)

    10. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all required paperwork, including all requisitions, consent forms, logs, schedules, patient charts; PACS image archival, time sheet, forms, etc.

    11. Properly mark all images with correct identifiers including patient name, birthday, MRN and any other patient identifier as used by the district. Properly mark all films with correct annotation.

    12. Maintain complete confidentiality

    13. Demonstrate proper body mechanics when moving/ lifting patients and supplies to ensure employee and patient safety

    14. Understand that their position does not allow them to offer an opinion to the patient or a family member regarding a sonographic study. However, occasional discussion with the health team regarding a professional opinion is permitted.

    15. Provide a copy of current licensure to the Director of Radiology and to Human Resources.

    16. Obtain continuing education credits required to uphold licensure and maintain certification in CPR.

    Qualifications:

    1. Education / Licensure

    a. (RT) graduate from an AMA approved Radiologic program / school

    b. (RT) Licensed with ARDMS or board eligible in Abdomen or OB/GYN. Additional credentials in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography is preferred.

    c. (RT) Licensed with the State of Wyoming without restrictions

    d. (RT) Current CPR certification

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    1. Knowledge of county, state and national policies and procedures to ensure safety of self and others.

    2. Knowledge to operate appropriate Ultrasound equipment proficiently and safely.

    3. Knowledge to consistently and properly identify patients and ensure correct exam is being performed.

    4. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish/maintain a safe work environment.

    5. Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental or infection control standards, and maintains all appropriate required documentation.

    6. Inspects emergency medical equipment to ensure serviceability and compliance with safety and infection control regulations and standards.

    7. Completes and transfers patient care information and records as per established procedures.

    8. Performs routine station, working and living areas, cleaning on a daily basis and vehicle maintenance as directed by the EMS Shift Lead.

    9. Performs other duties as assigned by EMS Operations Director.

    Qualifications:

    1. High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

    2. Wyoming certification as a Paramedic.

    3. Must posses a valid Wyoming Driver’s license, clean driving record and clean background check.

    4. Valid CPR certification (AHA BLS-4-HCP or ARC CPR for the professional rescuer) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

    5. A minimum of one (1) year experience in Emergency Medical Services is preferred.

    6. Minimum of 18 years of age.

    7. Must have knowledge and understanding of all existing medical equipment.

    8. Must be proficient in use of calculator, computer and other standard office equipment.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Phlebotomist are responsible for entering orders, collecting appropriate specimens, specimen processing, maintaining records of orders and should only perform those duties that are authorized by the laboratory director and that are within the individual’s skill level as determined by education, training or experience, and technical abilities.

    Supervision Received: Reports directly to the Medical Technologist or Laboratory Director

    Responsibilities:

    1. Orders or retrieves orders in the Electronic Medical Record and processes the orders in the LIS.

    2. Ensures that paper orders and electronic orders are complete and if not; obtains a complete order.

    3. Follows the laboratory’s procedures for specimen collection, handling and processing.

    4. Correctly identifies the patient according to lab procedure.

    5. Collects the appropriate specimen for the tests that are ordered.

    6. Instructs patient in proper specimen collection for specimens that are patient collected.

    7. Properly labels and processes the specimens according to the published test requirements.

    8. Performs patient testing for Point of Care testing, following the lab protocol regarding abnormal results and approves results if they are appropriate. Conferring with the Medical Technologist for review of results that are critical or do not make sense.

    9. Identifies problems that may adversely affect the integrity of the specimen and either correcting the problem or notifying the appropriate supervisor.

    10. Retrieves results if requested to do so.

    11. Maintains inventory of draw room supplies, follows inventory control protocol to ensure all ordered products are received and labels all reagents with received date and in-use date.

    12. Handles phlebotomy related calls in a professional manner.

    13. Adheres to District billing practices for laboratory services.

    14. Performs duties as assigned by the Laboratory Director.

    15. Performs Training and competency requirements as assigned in a timely manner.

    Qualifications:

    1. High school graduate or equivalent

    2. Documentation of training

    3. Phlebotomy certification recommended but not required

    Collection and processing of samples, performing routine laboratory testing, performing and documenting quality control, documenting patient results and reporting results according to laboratory policy. These duties will include specific testing applicable only to Medical Technologists and regular oversight of non-certified laboratory staff.

    Responsibilities:

    6. Identifies problems that may adversely affect the performance or reporting of test results and either correcting the problem or notifying the appropriate supervisor.

    7. Performs patient testing on all analyzers and kits. Follows the lab protocol regarding abnormal results and approves results if they are appropriate.

    8. Performs testing on proficiency testing samples and maintaining required records per laboratory policy. Maintains records which demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.

    9. Performs Manual Differentials.

    10. Performs Urine Microscopic exams.

    11. Retrieves results if requested to do so.

    12. Maintains inventory of laboratory supplies and places orders, following inventory control protocol to ensure all ordered products are received and labels all reagents with received date and in-use date and maintains reagent logs.

    13. Handles laboratory related calls and all issues involving the reference laboratory.

    14. Adheres to District billing practices for laboratory services.

    15. Follows and documents instrument maintenance programs for laboratory equipment, performs calibrations on the Axcel, the Stratus and the Tosoh per laboratory procedure, performs verification on the Axcel, the Stratus, and the Tosoh semi-annually.

    16. Validates new instrumentation.

    17. Oversees QC and maintenance programs, monitoring the Axcel, Sysmex, Stratus and Tosoh QC results for shifts and trends.

    18. Ensures that analyzers and individual kits are always ready for after-hours use.

    19. Performs duties as assigned by the Laboratory Director.

    20. Performs Training and competency requirements as assigned in a timely manner.

    21. Maintains QAP data and ensures that the data is submitted monthly and the report printed monthly.

    Qualifications:

    1. MT (ASCP) certification or equivalent.

    Summary Description:

    The Billing Clerk is responsible for monitoring and maintaining patient and corporate accounts for accurate billing and timely claim processing. The Billing Clerk will assist patients regarding inquiries about their account. They will also work with insurance companies and other third-party payors to ensure that health claims are accepted, processed and paid.

    Supervision Received: Reports directly to the Business Office Manager.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Daily posting of insurance and patient payments to the appropriate account and date of service.

    2. Contact insurance and patients regarding unpaid balances. Research, correct and resubmit any denied insurance claims.

    3. Assist patients in understanding charges and payments to their accounts.

    4. Researches and reports credit balances for resolution.

    5. Verifies patient and insurance billing information. Processes returned mail, notes the account and attempts to find new address.

    6. Makes payment arrangements for all new patients as needed.

    7. Transfer balances as appropriate between payer and patient responsibility.

    8. File secondary insurances when appropriate.

    9. Assist with eligibility verification by phone with insurance to assure claim payments.

    10. Communicates directly with collection agencies and provides them with all pertinent data.

    11. Performs other duties as assigned by the Business Office Manager.

    Qualifications:

    1. High school graduate.

    2. Two years of college of Technical School preferred; or

    3. Five years related experience and training; or

    4. Five years in medical related setting.

  • Summary Description:

    The receptionist is responsible for greeting patients, preparing, and collecting necessary forms and following prescribed procedures. The receptionist schedules for appointments, verifies eligibility, and scans cards into the system. The receptionist uses the computer to update patient data and to apply patient payments. The receptionist also performs various clerical duties such as answering phones, recording messages, copying materials, and typing forms.

    The receptionist may be cross-trained in other clerical functions of the clinic, such as Medical Records.

    Supervision Received: The Receptionist reports directly to the Clinic Site Coordinator.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Answers telephone, screens call, takes messages and provides information.

    2. Greets patients/customers in a positive and helpful manner. Provides directions, information, and other assistance as needed.

    3. Provides necessary forms to patients for completion and signature, reviews same for accuracy, and notifies the physician/staff that patient is ready.

    4. Maintains strictest confidentiality.

    5. Updates patient information, collects payments, and provides receipts.

    6. Maintains and updates current information on physicians’ schedules ensuring that patients are scheduled properly and appointments are confirmed.
